In the words of the late Sam Cooke, “Its Been a long long time coming!” But i’m back reader, did you miss me??? of course you have been missing my blog post and the f&ckary that it delivers, I have to admit my self that I been missing the time, the effort and the creativity that it takes to deliver the f%ckary of the world to you on a daily basis. I am happy to report, that after self publishing my first (of many to come later) book while juggling the usual day to day struggle of a 9 to 5 job, Today at work i got inspired to write a brand new blog post (last time I wrote one was in August! jesus! its been too long!).
Now that we managed to get that out of the way, lets proceed with this brand new post (i forgot how good that sounds saying). I remember years ago (damn i hate starting a post like this) I would say some time in the early 2000’s, when i was a regular on the club scene ( Note: i wasn’t into lounges back in) the lines for the club were long
the women were in dressed in the sexy dress in they’re closets no matter how high or low the tempertature may have been on those Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights.
Just like any other typical guy looking for a good night and a good time on a weekend night, i endured the long lines as well as the hot boxes base pumping loud music that club provided (I was having the time of my life!).
How ever over the years, something started happening that would alternate the clubbing experience forever. While i can’t exactly nail down when this new form of clubbing experience started, i will take a wild guest and say some time in the late 2000’s around the time when real music started to fade out and the dumb down f%ckary that we call music today started to pop up. it was also around this same that the world of Social media begin to take off and some where in this mix the term “Bottle Service” was invented.
Now unless you’ve been living cave man style for the past decade, then you reader know all about Bottle service at the clubs, however just case I am offending some caveman reading this (thats a joke by the way) here’s a reminder of the Bottle service
You and the Team (the people that your partying with that night) Show up to your reserved table ready for a night out, the orders get taken and the waitresses bring over the 4-5 200 and up dollar bottles that you and your team plan on popping that night
While sitting behind the Velvet rope of your V.I.P section feeling as if your on the set of a Puff daddy video
And now you feel like the life of the party! that ladies and gentlemen is “Bottle Service” in a nut shell. How did we get here you ask? well its like this and I’ve broken this down to a science so that you can fully understand here, All it took was the explosion of Social media
And one image to mess up a golden time
And the clubbing experience that many of us once enjoyed was destroyed! Never to be seen again. Blame it on the rappers, blame it on the advertisement from corporate America that is constantly shoved in our face on a daily bases rather its in print or digital, it doesn’t matter whom takes the blame, gone are the days when getting into a club after 12 didn’t cost a grip (these days if you mention your poppin bottles you get the V.I.P treatment from the bouncer, the door girl even the cashier inside) Gone are the days of standing in front of a crowded bar screaming your drink order to the bartender over the loud base pumping music. Most importantly gone are the days, when going out to a club meant some thing.
Thats My Post! time for me to do my dance out of here
